
Pickle Lemonade
A sharp, salty-sweet summer drink made with Opies Mini Gherkin brine and Opies Sliced Lemons — refreshing, unexpected, and easy to prepare.
Method
1. In a jug or shaker, combine the lemon juice, gherkin brine, and sugar. Stir or shake until the sugar is fully dissolved.2. Add the cold water and stir well.
3. Taste and adjust the balance:
o Add more brine for stronger savoury tang
o Add more lemon juice or sugar as needed
4. Fill two glasses with ice and pour over the pickle lemonade.
5. Garnish each glass with a slice of Opies Sliced Lemon, a mini gherkin (optional), and mint leaves if using. Serve chilled.
Ingredients
• 2 tablespoons Opies Mini Gherkins brine (adjust to taste)
• 3 tablespoons lemon juice from the Opies Sliced Lemons jar
• 2 tablespoons sugar or maple syrup (adjust to taste)
• 400 ml cold still or sparkling water
• Ice cubes
• 2–3 Opies Sliced Lemons, for garnish
• Opies Mini Gherkins, for garnish (optional)
• Fresh mint leaves (optional)
